طبق عادت دیرینه کمپانی اینتل در ادامه برنامه خود و همراه با عرضه نسل هفتم پردازنده های سری Core این کمپانی با عنوان KabyLake شاهد معرفی چیپست های جدید این کمپانی نیز برای همراهی پردازنده های جدید با قابلیت ها و امکانات بیشتر خواهیم بود. چیپست های سری 200 اینتل همچون سری 100 با سوکت LGA1151 سازگار بوده از این رو کاربران می توانند از پردازنده های SkyLake خود بروی مادربردهای سری 200 استفاده نمایند یا بالعکس با آپدیت بایوس مادربردهای سری 100 خود از قدرت پردازنده های KabyLake بروی آنها بهره مند شوند. چیپست Z270 اینتل را که در ابتدا عرضه شد چیپست های H270 و B250 نیز همراهی می کنند که دارای امکانات و قابلیت های مشابه بوده ولی از قابلیت اورکلاک (افزایش ضریب) محروم می باشند. البته این به معنی محرومیت کامل نبوده و از طریق افزایش فرکانس مسیر این موضوع یعنی اورکلاک پردازنده مرکزی و حافظه ها امکان پذیر است. با توجه به امکانات و البته قیمت تمام شده کمتر چیپست H270 و B250 برای مصارف خانگی و اداری مناسب می باشند.
